Hodinkee’s (think: BaT of horology) “Talking Watches” is like Petrolicious for watch nerds. Great production value and storytelling. This episode is 13 minutes with Mario Andretti and the collection he’s amassed over the years via racing partnerships. Fascinating history, even if you don’t appreciate watches.

I’m loving that they all look so heavily worn too.

He seemed genuinely tickled that those pieces were called “Andrettis” too. A real watch guy!

He’s also exactly as chill and humble in person as he appears here. I grew up in Nazareth about a mile from him, never knew exactly how big of a deal he was until I’d moved away.

Hodinkee is fantastic. Their Apple Watch review is one of the reasons I decided to buy one.

Awesome, I hoped it wasn’t just old age/behaving for the camera. Seems like a genuine guy.

Yep there really isn’t anyone on their level whatsoever in the watch space! Though I love the TwoBrokeWatchSnobs podcast, its the antithesis of Hodinkee in vulgar sub $1k focused form.
